Who I am

My name is Alan Andreu Elwood Yagüe, and I was born 21 years ago in Los Angeles CA, USA. I'm 1/4 American, 1/4 Mexican and 1/2 Spanish and at age 4 my family and I moved to Barcelona where I've been living ever since, that's why I consider myself a citizen of the world (as corny as that may sound).

I've always craved for knowledge and new and interesting skills. I'm a musician, I've played the violin in music school since I was little and then learned guitar and drums by myself.

I had a time when I watched too many anime, but even if I'm not as engaged in the shows anymore, I never lost interest in the language and culture of Japan. That's why I started studying Japanese by myself (and I've recently passed the N3 level exam!).

And finally, I never considered myself an artist (I won't show you my scribbles or ugly handwriting) but recently I've started doing some pixel art as a hobby. Check it out!

(If you read this far and you're somehow still interested, congratulations! There's more below)

What I do

I'm versed in Design but I don't shy away from other aspects like Team Management, Art, or Programming. I think having a good grasp of several aspects of game development not only allows me to do solo projects but also do a much better job in a team, be it working alongside professionals in other branches or keeping the gears of a project in motion.

I work primarily in Unity, and make most of my projects in C# but I'm also experienced in JavaScript, LUA, and R. I like to code systems with a strong core that can be expanded upon and used seamlessly by many other agents in the game.

My dream is to work in a games company where I can contribute to making better games that make better people.
